Ranveer Singh’s 83 postpones it’s release due to coronavirus outbreak. The film was originally scheduled to release on April 10, 2020.
As all the theaters have shut down due to coronavirus amid. All the film makers are postponing the release of their films. Similarly the makers of 83 have taken this decision to postpone the release of the film.
The official announcement states, “In the wake of the risks posed by the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the growing health concerns, the release of 83 has been put on hold. We will take a decision regarding the next course of action once the conditions return to normal. We urge our fans to take all the necessary precautions and take care of their loved ones. 83 is a film about fighting the odds and we hope we all will bounce back from this soon.”
Ranveer captions the post, “83 is not just our film but the entire nation’s film. But the health and safety of the nation always comes first. Stay safe, take care. We shall be back soon!”
Deepika Padukone also being a part of the film post this announcement on her Instagram story. On the other hand Ranveer Singh posts this message on his Instagram account and also on his Instagram story.
Film 83 is all about the journey of Kapil Dev who was a newly appointed captain of Indian Cricket Team which lifted the trophy of 1983 World Cup that year.
Ranveer Singh will be playing the captain of the team Kapil Dev. Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Sahil Kattar as Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Adinath Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar.
Other actors as Dhairya Karwa will play Ravi Shastri, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Nishant Dahhiya as Roger Binny, R Badree as Sunil Valson and Pankaj Tripathi as their coach PR Man Singh.
