Johny Lever was born on 14th August 1957. He is one of the iconic Indian film actor and one of the most noted comedians in the whole Indian film industry. Johnny Lever is one of the first stands up comedians in India. He has received plenty amount of achievement in his career.
Johny Lever was born in a Telugu Christian family. He was brought up in Mumbai’s King circle area, which is in Dharavi. His mother tongue is Telugu. And he is eldest in a family and has Three Sisters and two brothers.
Johny Lever studied in Andhra Education Society English High School. He decided to leave school at 7th grade and started working odd jobs because of his family’s working condition.
Lever used to sell pens on street of Mumbai by in imitating Bollywood stars and dancing to the songs of Bollywood stars. He also spent his early years in the old city of Hyderabad, where he learned the unique style of comedy acting.
He Started to perform stand up comedy in musical shows, after earning Fame he join the group of Kalyanji Anandi, a legendary music direction duo. Even before joining in Hindustan Lever, he was also giving stage performances. Not only this but he did a lot of shows and World tours.
Johny Lever got his first break in movie Tum Par Hum Qurban. He has acted in more than 350 films, including hit films of Indian cinema such as Tezaab, Kasam, Khatarnak, Kishen Kanhaiya, Jalwa, Baazigar and many more.

He is married to Sujata and has two children a daughter Jamie who is also comedian and son Jesse.
