Rather than scrambling to figure out what you are posting throughout the week, take one day (or two, if you want to pace yourself) and plan out an entire month of content creation so you are ready for the next 30-31 days. 

Content creation can be debilitating, especially if you are new to the scene. Take the stress out of the activity by taking some breaks in between each step.

For Mondays, plan posts like “5 Tips for Decluttering Your Child’s Toys” or “7 Tips for Spring Cleaning Your Home”. Wednesdays can feature funny clips of yourself or your children that you filmed while getting content together for your channel.

These could be funny bloopers or moments you think your followers will find funny and engaging. 

On Fridays, promote cleaning products or appliances you use in your videos. For this step, talk to the companies to see if you can be granted a sponsorship opportunity so you can get paid for this content. 

Promotions can also be blog posts you write. Don’t forget to promote them on all social media channels to drive traffic to it. Your blog (if applicable) and your Instagram channel should work together to promote one another and be synonymous with the presented content.

For example, if you post a blog called “5 Fridge Organization Techniques”, your next video should be about that subject. Show a physical representation of how you organize your fridge while following those tactics outlined in your blog. 

Step 4: Batch Your Visual Content

Here’s how you can batch your content so it’s ready to go on post day:

  • Use Canva or other templates to make branded visuals. 
  • Shoot a few reels at once so you can do voice-overs for them later. 
  • Get together lifestyle and product/service photos to go with the posts. 
  • Get your Instagram stories ready in advance. 

Step 5: Write Your Captions All at Once

Create your captions on the same day you plan content. The first line should be the hook that attracts readers to stay on your post. The next line should add value to the subject or tell a story.

Implement a call-to-action before adding relevant hashtags at the end of the post.
